Pretty stilettos
February 1, 2008
I’m really happy with the shape of these. (they’re called Party Pumps, another winner of a name) They’re a bit like my Classics pumps. Actually I’d almost finished these when I realized, hey, hadn’t I already made these shoes?! That’s when I added the clown-collar-ruffle things, to make them more distinctive. I do think the shaping and texturing of these are a step up, and I plan to do more with this basic shape.
Available in 12 colors
Each color includes 2 pairs, one with matching trim and the other with black. The black ones include a red-trimmed pair.
L$350 each
Fits size 0 feet

I released 4 more MaryGeos last Friday:

MaryGeo pumps
January 19, 2008
The “Mary” is for the Mary Jane strap, the “Geo” is for the geometric blocks of color. Making round-toed sculptie pumps was tricky for me. I’m used to making round toes out of traditional prims, and they necessarily have a cartoony shape. Getting past that to a more realistic shape took a lot of puzzled fiddling in Maya. I had a bit of premature spring fever, so I made a couple easter-eggy colors. Here’s my favorite:

I need to find some clothes to go with this color! Any suggestions?
These only come in 4 colors so far. I’ll be making more. Suggestions from my Shiny Things group: red, brown/tan, brown/robin’s egg, black/something. I’m open to more ideas.
Stats:
L$300 a pair
Copy/no modify/no transfer

More boot colors and new bootlace HUD
December 21, 2007
I’ve added 4 new Chunky Ribbon Boots and one new Ribbon Boot (brown only). The new colors come with a new basics HUD - the old one wouldn’t have matched at all.
Also, while making more bootlace colors I had to rethink the HUD add-ons. I decided it was stupid to sell lots of different palettes and make people juggle lots of HUDs, so I made one big HUD instead. It’s got 84 colors. That includes the 2 basic sets, so no HUD switching is needed at all. This HUD sells for L$200. The free HUDs included with the boots are a nice starting set; this is really a luxury add-on.
If you bought both the older add-ons and want to trade up, please IM me with your purchase date and I’ll pass you a new one. If you bought one HUD, a trade-up will just cost you L$100.

Mechanica jewelry - men’s and women’s versions
December 14, 2007
I love making unconventional jewelry. I feel it’s my best expression of pure creativity. It’s also my poorest-selling work, but that’s fine. This set, Mechanica, comes in gunmetal because that’s the obvious choice, and in gold (for women only) because I like the contrast. And I’ve finally done a reverse necklace (there must be a name for that) — something I’ve been wanting to do for a long time.

There’s also a regular necklace:

And here’s the men’s version. It probably wouldn’t fit women too well because men’s necks and chests are shaped differently.

Permissions: The in-store jewelry permissions are modify/transfer/no copy. OnRez jewelry, listed shortly, is modify/copy/no transfer. Please buy there if you prefer that.
Prices:
Women’s necklaces: L$150 each
Bracelet, earrings, men’s necklace: L$100 each

Chunky Ribbon Boots
December 11, 2007
[Update: the boots are out in my shop now. ]
When Second Life comes back online I’ll release these:

The obvious difference from my first Ribbon Boots is the sole. I also changed the grommets, enlarged the bow loops, improved the joint between foot and calf, and made subtle texture improvements. You can see (or maybe you can’t) here how ambient occlusion (the slight shadowing) around the grommets gives the calf more depth:

I plan to revamp the original Ribbon Boots with a single-prim heel/sole and the above-mentioned improvements. When I do (soon!), I’ll distribute copies to everyone who’s purchased them.
The bootlace color HUD add-ons work with these boots. Here they are again:

I’ve won Best Shoes and Best Belts, and runner-up in a bunch of categories, in the Blogger’s Choice Awards. Thanks very much for the recognition, and congratulations to all the other winners. Thanks also the people at SL Fashion Notes.
Ribbon Boots
December 5, 2007
I’ve released some new sculpted women’s boots with good features. They include 4 calf sizes, so they should fit most avatars. Multiple calf sizes are easier to make with sculpties than they were with regular prims. A bit of stretching here and there in Maya will do it, whereas regular prims required a hell of a lot of fiddling.
There’s also a HUD for changing lace colors. I’ve included a basic palette of 6 colors with the boots, and I’m selling additional HUDs separately. The HUDs have options for changing both boots or just one, so you can mix and match lace colors. (Thanks to PixelDolls - a prim skirt HUD was my inspiration.)
Ribbon Boots: In black and white

For size 0 feet with 4 calf sizes

Here they are in my favorite color.
