Plainers
June 24, 2008
A few people requested these shoes, and now here they are. The name is a dumb pun - they’re like my Skyliners, only plainer, plus it’s “plains” instead of a skyline on the front.
Available in 12 colors
2 pairs included - for size 0 and size 10 feet
L$300 per pair
copy/no transfer/no modify
Shirt: elDee; capris: Launa Fauna; glasses: Naughty Designs; hair: Mirai; skin: Fleur; belt: work in progress by me. Thanks again to Ally Geer, my stylist!

Supernovas
April 23, 2008
It took me ages to finish these because I spent so much time fiddling at each phase: shape, proportion, fit, texture design, and coloring. When it came to coloring, I decided that some colors looked too flat so I added a subtle gradient to the heel. The sunset color carries a color gradient through the straps. I’m not sure: is it nice or tacky?

The fine detail doesn’t show well here (it’s supposed to be subtle, after all!), especially in the smaller pictures, but I think it still makes the overall look more finished and polished. Here’s a closeup:

And I have to give props to Windlight. It brings out the curves of the heel very nicely, so heavy baked in shadowing isn’t needed. Subtlety is my watchword of the moment.
Okay, the stats:
Available in 9 colors
Includes pairs for size 0 and size 10 feet
Copy/no transfer/no modify
L$350 a pair
Special edition shoes for charity

I’m selling a specially textured edition of Francoise Flats exclusively for the benefit of Relay for Life of Second Life. They’ll be available until the end of RFLSL 2008, which I think is at the end of July. They’re at my main shop (and not, in case anyone goes there looking for them, at the RFL Clothing Fair).
L$300 (minimum donation to receive a pair of shoes)
2 sizes included
copy/no modify/no transfer
store cards can’t be used for these, sorry.
here are all the colors:

I’m in the midst of reworking all my shop displays and haven’t come up with a good blog presentation for them yet. Those pictures will do for now!
A little secret…
February 17, 2008
I’ve been having a Shiny Things group sale since Friday: all my sculpted prim shoes are marked down 50%. That’s 12 women’s styles and 3 men’s styles. Men never have it as good, do they? It runs through the end of today (Sunday, Feb. 17), which means I’ll close it down when it’s Monday for every time zone.
The sale is not in the main shop, it’s here: Shiny Things sale. Click to come by, join the group, and make sure your group tag is activated.
I forgot to mention…

I released 4 more MaryGeos last Friday:

More boot colors and new bootlace HUD
December 21, 2007
I’ve added 4 new Chunky Ribbon Boots and one new Ribbon Boot (brown only). The new colors come with a new basics HUD - the old one wouldn’t have matched at all.
Also, while making more bootlace colors I had to rethink the HUD add-ons. I decided it was stupid to sell lots of different palettes and make people juggle lots of HUDs, so I made one big HUD instead. It’s got 84 colors. That includes the 2 basic sets, so no HUD switching is needed at all. This HUD sells for L$200. The free HUDs included with the boots are a nice starting set; this is really a luxury add-on.
If you bought both the older add-ons and want to trade up, please IM me with your purchase date and I’ll pass you a new one. If you bought one HUD, a trade-up will just cost you L$100.

Chunky Ribbon Boots
December 11, 2007
[Update: the boots are out in my shop now. ]
When Second Life comes back online I’ll release these:

The obvious difference from my first Ribbon Boots is the sole. I also changed the grommets, enlarged the bow loops, improved the joint between foot and calf, and made subtle texture improvements. You can see (or maybe you can’t) here how ambient occlusion (the slight shadowing) around the grommets gives the calf more depth:

I plan to revamp the original Ribbon Boots with a single-prim heel/sole and the above-mentioned improvements. When I do (soon!), I’ll distribute copies to everyone who’s purchased them.
The bootlace color HUD add-ons work with these boots. Here they are again:

~Chunky Ribbon Boots~

4 calf sizes included

I’ve won Best Shoes and Best Belts, and runner-up in a bunch of categories, in the Blogger’s Choice Awards. Thanks very much for the recognition, and congratulations to all the other winners. Thanks also the people at SL Fashion Notes.
Ribbon Boots
December 5, 2007
I’ve released some new sculpted women’s boots with good features. They include 4 calf sizes, so they should fit most avatars. Multiple calf sizes are easier to make with sculpties than they were with regular prims. A bit of stretching here and there in Maya will do it, whereas regular prims required a hell of a lot of fiddling.
There’s also a HUD for changing lace colors. I’ve included a basic palette of 6 colors with the boots, and I’m selling additional HUDs separately. The HUDs have options for changing both boots or just one, so you can mix and match lace colors. (Thanks to PixelDolls - a prim skirt HUD was my inspiration.)
Ribbon Boots: In black and white
L$500
For size 0 feet with 4 calf sizes
Copy/no transfer/no modify
Demos available
Bootlace color HUDs:
L$100
15 colors in each
Copy/no transfer/no modify
Outfit: Dutch Touch; socks: Canimal; hair: Calico; skin: Tete a Pied

Halloween bouquets?
October 5, 2007
My friend hyasynth of silentsparrow made a wonderfully icky blood-stained wedding dress costume, and remarked that it could use a wilted wedding bouquet. So I made a couple. They’re made of sculpted prim flowers adapted from my garden flower collection. I think they’ll outlive their Halloween usefulness and be good goth wedding bouquets.
There’s also coordinating hair by Calico Ingmann of Calico Creations (shown in hya’s dress picture below, not in my bouquet pictures). All three items are available at all three of our shops.
The bouquets are L$350 each. Permissions: no copy/no modify/transfer.
